Changzhou Hydropower Station is the largest pumped storage power station in Jiangsu Province at present, which is constructed by Jiangsu Guoxin Group with an investment of 8.9 billion dollars, and is a key project of the "12th Five-Year Plan" of Jiangsu Province, which took 9 years to complete. A total of six 20MW vertical-axis single-stage reversible mixed-flow pumped storage units are installed, with a designed annual power generation of 2.007 billion kWh and an annual pumped storage capacity of 2.676 billion kWh. Changzhou Hydropower Station, with extremely complicated geological conditions, is currently the most difficult hydropower project in China, and the construction process has created 14 utility model patents and won one provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological achievement awards. Six units were completed and put into operation within one year, which is the first case among domestic pumped storage units. The project adopted DC intelligent PDUK4 series produced by Qunfang Technology with stable performance and good feedback.
